About the event
The Young Authors and Artists Conference, spanning over 30 years, has been a source of inspiration and a platform for more than 15,000 talented students at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Students ranging from 6th to 12th grade spend a day immersed in art in the company of fellow artists.
To secure your seat, please follow the provided links. Schools and districts are required to send one teacher for every five registered students, with teachers attending free of charge. Families are also welcome to register their child for the conference.
Registration includes museum admission, snacks, lunch, and the invaluable opportunity to be surrounded by some of the most passionate young artists in the state.
During the conference, young artists embark on a museum tour in search of a piece of art that inspires them to create their own artwork. They receive constructive feedback from their peers and are given time to revise their piece.
In the spring, students and their families return to the museum to share their inspiration and celebrate their work. Admission for the spring reception is free for the artist and their family.
This program brings together young people from diverse schools and backgrounds who share a profound love for art. The conference serves as a platform for students to learn, collaborate, and find inspiration from the museum's world-class art.
The conference is proudly sponsored by the Kettle Moraine School District in partnership with the Milwaukee Art Museum.
