Why
STUDENTS LOVE IT
The Art of Writing isn't about getting the "right" answer or producing a perfect piece of work. It's about discovering what happens when you give yourself permission to experiment, take risks, receive meaningful feedback, and see the world differently.
Come curious. Leave inspired.
STUDENT TESTIMONIALS
STUDENT WORK

Why the Milwaukee Art Museum?
Imagine spending an entire school day inside the Milwaukee Art Museum.
Instead of learning about writing and art from a textbook, students experience it firsthand by walking through the galleries, finding inspiration, sharing and learning from fellow authors and artists, and allowing the artwork around them to inspire their work.

WHAT IS THE ART OF WRITING?
The Art of Writing is an unforgettable day of creativity at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Students leave the classroom behind and spend the day exploring art, generating ideas, writing, creating, sharing, and connecting with other young authors and artists.
Students don't simply sit and listen to presentations. They participate.
