On December 9, 2024, young authors will gather at the Milwaukee Art Museum to craft and refine their stories with expert guidance and peer feedback. In the spring, they’ll return with their families to share the inspiration behind their creations and proudly present their finished pieces.

About the event
The Young Authors and Artists Conference, spanning over 30 years, has been a source of inspiration and a platform for more than 15,000 talented students at the Milwaukee Art Museum. Students ranging from third to 12th grade spend a day immersed in the company of fellow passionate authors and artists.
To secure your seat, please follow the provided links. Schools and districts are required to send one teacher for every five registered students, with teachers attending free of charge. Teachers will lead a small group of authors from around the state throughout the day.
Registration includes museum admission, snacks, lunch, and the invaluable opportunity to be surrounded by some of the most passionate young authors and artists in the area.
During the conference, young authors embark on a museum tour in search of a piece of art that inspires them to create their own written piece. They receive constructive feedback…

This ticket grants you admission to the museum on Monday, December 9, 2024, and offers a package that includes snacks, lunch, and a unique chance to collaborate with some of the most exceptional authors in the State.
